Welcome to Four Winds Apartments.

The Premier Property in Anderson.

Why would anyone move to Anderson?...

The answers to that question are many. Anderson, Indiana is steeped in history and culture. Once home to the Adena and Hopewell people, Anderson is home to some of the best examples of earthwork and mound building in the state of Indiana. These mounds were once believed to be ancient burial grounds for the people of the time. In fact, they are ceremonial places where the high priests would perform their ceremonies and rituals. Mounds State Park, located in Anderson provides camping and hiking among this incredibly sacred location. It is amazing to revel in the thought that these mounds and earthworks date back to around 1000 B.C.

Thousands of years later the Delaware Indians made the area of Anderson their home. Anderson is named after a Delaware chief. He was the son of a Delaware Indian and a Swedish trader. His Indian name was Kikthawenund (Kik-Tha-We-Nund) and his Christian given name was William Alexander Anderson.

At Four Winds you will notice that we respect and admire this Native American influence. In your new home you will live in one of our serenely named courts like, Flying Cloud Court, Harvest Moon Court, Running Stream Court or Trade Wind Court. You can feel a part of the reverent history that began this wonderful city that you call home.

Explore the cultural marvels of Anderson through its art, movies, live theatre, historic architecture, parks and horse racing. The Paramount Atmospheric Theatre, located in downtown Anderson, is one of only 12 remaining atmospheric theatres created by John Eberson, a legendary Chicago architect. This theatre has been completely restored to its original beauty and is home to many performances including the ballet and symphony orchestra. This theatre, along with other venues such as the Fine Arts Center, McClain’s Historical Military Armor Museum, and Hoosier Park horse racing are just the beginning of what Anderson has in store for its residents.

Anderson’s business industry is beginning to boom. City tax abatements offered to companies that locate along the I-69 corridor in Anderson is a wonderful incentive to bring new business to the area. Shopping, dining, golf and recreation are all available within minutes of your new Four Winds Home.
